WAUKESHA — Marc Messinger has endured more than most: a near-fatal illness in his youth, a daughter diagnosed with a life-threatening condition and the eventual loss of his wife to cancer. Now, he is using those experiences to help others navigate grief and major life changes.Messinger never imagined his life would take such turns, let alone lead him to supporting others through their darkest moments. As a teenager, a sudden illness left him legally deaf, partially blind and fighting for survival.
